Two Batteries, and Some Unusual Places
The second battery in a start-stop Wrangler supports the electrics while the engine restarts. When it weakens, stop-start usually stops working and a warning may appear, even though the car still starts normally. Testing both batteries avoids replacing a healthy main unit by mistake. The Grand Cherokee's under-seat location means the seat or floor cover has to be moved and the vent hose reconnected afterwards.
